Anchor development is a UK-based organisation created by a Somali national living in the UK who, after a successful career wants to help provide the basic needs of his fellows less fortunate than he. Anchor issues grants and loans to individuals and provides buildings, facilities. As well as providing advocacy, advice and information, Anchor acts as an umbrella or resource body.

Healthcare facilities in Somalia are scarce, and this is why Anchor Developments' Somalia Project was formed.

The purpose of Anchor Development is to establish
self-financing projects in Somalia.

The immediate priority being to launch a project to build clinics in some of the urban centres. We aim to reduce unnecessary suffering, pain and ultimately the premature death with basic healthcare practices and aid to victims of natural disasters.
